Released 2010 as a next generation looping video event data recorder targeted at secure yet uncomplicated installations in a wide variety of commercial vehicles, this compact unit in its windshield-mount configuration captures as much as 40 seconds driving information before  and after a triggering moment. The saved event file is date time stamped with associated high definition dual-channel video, audio, location and motion measurement.

A DTW 1.0 driving event is triggered when excessive vehicle motion or sudden impact occurs and is sensed by the recorder’s tri-axis accelerometers. All event data immediately saves to the secured, SD storage card. A most critical event’s capture is further assured by advanced algorithms acting on the motion sensors, a free-from-service backup power feature and the overwrite protection settings in the software.

All recorded data and setup are accessible by either (1) USB 2.0 download, (2) WPA protected and TKIP encrypted 802.11 b/g WiFi transfer connection, or (3) a protected SD card removal procedure performed under program control of the proprietary Kolimat Data Manager software included with purchase. Kolimat Data Manager provides feature rich, full motion playback for in-depth event analysis and incorporates the USB Manager and WLAN Manager operating during downloads.
Events are exportable for full motion replay using other codecs, available for playback on the unit’s unique, integrated color LCD screen when no computer is convenient or easily converted into hardcopy report form. Data Manager is offered for use on standalone and network-shared drives for even greater flexibility and access.
